Your Impact As the Senior People Operations Manager, you will lead the strategy and execution of core HR functions across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding and engagement to performance management and compliance. Reporting to the SVP of Sales, you will be responsible for maintaining and evolving the People Ops infrastructure as we scale. You will serve as the internal expert on all things employee experience, while collaborating cross-functionally with leadership, department heads, and our external HR vendors. This is a strategic and hands-on role. We’re looking for someone who can drive People Operations initiatives at a high level while also owning the little things that create a great day-to-day employee experience in the office. You’ll be the point person for everything from performance management and office culture to strategic People Ops planning and execution.
Training and Development:
You will inherit a robust set of documented processes, checklists, templates, and training resources created by prior fractional People Ops team members. You’ll partner with the SVP of Sales for onboarding and strategic direction while receiving support from existing documentation on:
- Onboarding and offboarding workflows
- Commission and SPIF payouts
- Benefits, EAP, and leave administration
- Event planning and swag distribution
- Justworks, Gmail, and internal tools management
You will also contribute to owning, building and evolving our processes, systems, and training programs as our team grows.
What We Are Looking For:
- 3–5+ years of experience in People Operations or HR in a high-growth startup environment
- Proven ownership across onboarding, offboarding, benefits, and compliance
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills; detail-oriented with a high follow-through bar
- Experience with tools like HRIS and PEO platforms, Google Workspace, and Slack
- Strong understanding of employment laws and best practices for hybrid teams at high growth startup organizations
- Comfortable managing projects independently and working cross-functionally with leadership
- Warm, empathetic, and approachable presence with a get-it-done attitude
Day to Day:
- Own onboarding, including offer letters, equipment coordination, HRIS setup, and new hire orientation
- Manage offboarding process with checklists, equipment returns, exit interviews, and system shutdowns
- Administer benefits programs and serve as the main point of contact for employee leave and EAP questions
- Manage payroll adjustments, promotions, SPIFs, and commission payouts in partnership with leadership
- Own and update employee handbook, workplace policies, and internal HR documentation
- Plan and coordinate employee events, offsites, and company-wide swag programs
- Ensure a high-quality in-office employee experience by managing snack and food vendor relationships, office supply orders, parking access, light office upkeep, and our partnership with the landlord
- Track and manage key people-related data, including WFH trends, PTO usage, and compensation audits
- Evaluate and implement HR tools and vendors (e.g., Paylocity transition, benefits brokers, etc.)
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance management and career pathing
