As our client continues to expand, they are seeking a talented and motivated Validation Engineer – Configuration Services to join their IT team. This position focuses on scripting, imaging, and automation in a high-performance computing and data center environment. The selected candidate will support configuration services within the factory (separate from rack integration), working with large-scale imaging and system preparation to meet specific customer requirements. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Batch, and PowerShell to support imaging/configuration of laptops, servers, and desktops.
Design scalable and efficient solutions tailored to meet customer-specific hardware/software configurations.
Perform first article inspections to validate compliance, performance, and quality of initial units.
Collaborate with internal and customer teams to gather requirements, execute scripts, and deploy configurations across multiple environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve scripting and hardware-related issues to ensure smooth deployment.
Create records for customer deliverables, including service tags, part numbers, and custom configuration logs.
Ensure seamless integration of systems and tools using APIs, third-party applications, and internal systems.
Work with up to 50 servers simultaneously in test environments to validate networking and system functionality.
What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree acceptable with strong scripting experience).
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in scripting, imaging, or system configuration environments.
Visual Basic or C++ programming environments focused on hardware/system testing
Proficiency with Bash, Batch, and PowerShell scripting for automation and system deployment.
Demonstrated experience in imaging and configuring laptops, desktops, and servers in high-volume environments.
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, subnets, routing, switching, and DHCP.
Hands-on experience with network diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, Traceroute, NetFlow).
Validation engineer roles in electronics testing or manufacturing
Ability to debug and solve problems independently in real-time under dynamic conditions.
Corporate IT automation or imaging teams
Effective communicator able to deliver clear technical feedback to clients and stakeholders.
